You may not traditionally picture a winter wedding to be held at an outdoor wedding venue, but here in sunny Orlando, FL, this is the norm! Winter is a great time to host a wedding in Orlando because of the milder temperatures, lower chances of rain, and fewer tourists on vacation.
We love winter weddings at Celebration Gardens! Our botanical gardens blossom all year round, even in the winter, and they make the perfect backdrop for your wintry nuptials.
One of our Celebration Gardens couples, Heather and Eric, recently tied the knot on our Gazebo Lawn, enjoyed cocktail hour in our outdoor gardens, and held their reception in our newly renovated large outdoor pavilion! They had a neutral color palette with copper accents, which perfectly complemented our outdoor wedding venue and botanical gardens.
Want to know how they pulled it all off? Keep reading to find out how this couple used one of our all-inclusive wedding packages to have their dream wedding… and how you can too!

A Winter Wedding Ceremony:
On Heather and Eric’s wedding day, their florist beautifully decorated the Wedding Gazebo at our outdoor wedding venue with copper and white floral sprays. Both fluffy and wispy, they made for gorgeous accent pieces to our charming white ceremony gazebo.
We also set out a wooden unplugged sign with a matching floral spray to welcome this couple’s 90 guests to the celebration.
When our beautiful bride, Heather, was all dolled up in her crisp white wedding gown, it was time to get married! She looked absolutely radiant with her hair in waves and one side swept back by a sparkly floral hairpiece. Eric looked the part as well in his classic black tux and bow tie.
As Heather came down the aisle with her copper and white bridal bouquet and her parents on either side of her, Eric’s smile was so sweet and sentimental. This was the moment they had been waiting for!
The ceremony itself was romantic and heartfelt. The couple exchanged custom vows and rings before sharing their first married kiss. When they pulled away from each other, they thew their arms in the air to celebrate.
They did it!
Cocktail Hour at our Outdoor Wedding Venue:
When the ceremony concluded, the guests adjourned to cocktail hour in our outdoor wedding venue’s botanical gardens. Adjacent to the ceremony space, everyone was able to enjoy our lush landscaping with a drink in hand from our built-in bar.
They munched on butler passed hors d’oeuvres of meatballs with marinara, pomerey mustard, and bourbon glaze, spinach dip atop a baguette with red pepper, and chili lime salmon satay. Can you say YUM?
In between bites, they got to partake in our built-in mini golf and corn hole. Lawn games like these are always a hit!
A Winter Wedding Reception:
Our Large Outdoor Pavilion is perfect for a wedding reception! The newest addition to our outdoor wedding venue, this is a permanent black covered pavilion with open air sides. If there happens to be inclement weather on the day of, don’t worry, the pavilion has tent siding that we can pull down to keep everyone warm and dry!
Thankfully, Heather and Eric’s January wedding was bright and sunny! They joyfully entered their reception with their arms in the air, ready to party! They kicked off the reception with their first dance followed by a dance with each of their parents.
Their loved ones surrounded them for these dances at beautiful reception tables covered with ivory linens, copper napkins, and copper and white floral arrangements in mason jars.
Following the formal dances, the newlyweds. took a seat at their sweetheart table. This reception focal point had a wooden “Mr & Mrs” sign with the copper and white floral sprays from the ceremony. We always encourage our couples to repurpose their ceremony décor whenever possible!
After two beautiful toasts that brought Heather to tears, it was time for dinner!
