Celebration Gardens: Celebrating During COVID-19

COVID-19 has absolutely changed the way all of us celebrate, and unfortunately, the limitations placed on venues, including Celebration Gardens, continually changes.

However, there are a number of things that set our beautiful location apart. We are located just outside of downtown Orlando in Winter Park. This incredible location offers us a considerable amount of outdoor space for weddings and events.

Did you know that the total capacity for a cocktail reception is 300 people and 200 people for a fully seated outdoor event?

That means that even with restrictions on event size and the need for social distancing, we’ve been able to assist couples in moving forward with their wedding plans. Our gardens are beautiful this time of year, and outdoor spaces allow some much-needed breathing room.

Taking Extra Precautions

Check out this video on our Celebration Gardens Facebook page with Giselle from our John Michael Events and Celebration Gardens teams.

As she said, we are working with couples to make their dream day happen and protect both their guests and our staff.

Kind Words From Some of Our Couples

Here’s what Joan, the bride from one of our fist first small weddings during phase one re-opening, had to say about Celebration Gardens and our team.

“We were so lucky to find this venue in the center of Orlando. Michael has worked so well with us from start to finish. He answered all of our concerns and ensured that everything was done exactly how we wanted. They ensured the staff and guests were safe and even offered everyone masks. I feel blessed to have found such a beautiful venue. Thank you to everyone who made this day so perfect!” – Joan 5/15/20

Thanks, Joan! We’re glad you appreciate all of our new safety protocols.

Beyond ensuring that everyone feels safe, we know that couples have had a lot of stress over changing dates and not being able to have everything happen as they had previously planned.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility. Allowing couples to work with wedding vendors they had already contracted and to bring in their own food or catering can make all the difference when reworking their original wedding plans.

Here’s what Jennifer had to say about the process of changing venues and moving forward with their original wedding date with a more intimate wedding.

“Due to COVID-19 we had to push our 150 person wedding at another venue out to September, however still wanted a smaller intimate wedding with our immediate family. My friend recommended Celebration Gardens and we were able to book them 2 weeks before our wedding (originally had booked a park but got cancelled on). Michael Thomas was so easy to work with and made sure everything would be set up the way we wanted and allowed us to bring food into the venue so our family can have a celebratory dinner. The venue was perfect and Christian (venue attendant) was super helpful all day and the grounds we just beautiful in all our pictures. We are so happy that they were able to make our first wedding date so special.”  – Jennifer – 5/23/2020

Thank you, Jennifer! We’re so glad you could still celebrate with your family on the date you had originally planned.

Our Celebration Gardens team looks forward to speaking with you about your intimate wedding celebration and our availability and guidelines for hosting your special day during phased re-openings of wedding venues.
