Your wedding is a special opportunity to gather all of your favorite people in one place to celebrate your love story. While the day is centered around your new marriage, it often becomes a celebration of so much more, from recent milestones to reconnecting with loved ones to creating lasting memories. When a wedding doubles as a family reunion and a celebration of all the wonderful things happening in your lives, the joy is simply contagious!
That was certainly the case at Sarah and Chris’ charming spring wedding at Celebration Gardens! Their romantic blue and yellow color palette reflected the joy that filled the air from start to finish. Throughout their celebration, Sarah and Chris intentionally created moments for their loved ones, including honoring their mothers in special ways, making s’mores around the fire pit, and dancing together through the gardens in a New Orleans-style Second Line.
And as if all of this wasn’t enough, Sarah and Chris had one extra special surprise in store for their family and friends…
Let’s take a look back at their beautiful spring wedding to find out what it was!
Celebration Gardens All-Inclusive Wedding Packages
In planning their spring wedding, our team helped Sarah and Chris choose the all-inclusive wedding package that best fit their vision and needs. One of the biggest advantages of our packages is the ability to bundle your wedding vendor dream team all at once, making the planning process seamless and stress-free. Sarah and Chris’ package included essentials like venue rental, day-of coordination, photography, floral design, catering, music, and more.
Of course, no two couples are exactly alike, which is why our team is experienced in personalizing our packages to meet your unique needs. For Sarah and Chris, that meant including makeup services but removing hair services since Sarah already had a trusted stylist she wanted to work with. We love helping couples create a wedding experience that feels authentically theirs from the very beginning!

Spring Wedding Morning

On the morning of their spring wedding, Sarah and Chris got ready for the day in our onsite Getting Ready Cottage. Complete with cozy lounge areas, vanity mirrors, large windows, and private restrooms, the space offers plenty of room for couples and their wedding parties to relax and prepare for the celebration ahead.
It was here that Sarah stepped into her full bridal look for the very first time. That day, she wore an ivory satin wedding gown featuring delicate lace sleeves and a soft blue lining in the skirt that beautifully complemented the couple’s blue and yellow wedding color palette. Her bridal bouquet tied the look together perfectly with its blue delphiniums, lush hydrangeas, and classic roses. Sarah completed her ensemble with a sparkling tiara in her hair and a dramatic flowing bridal cape, also lined in blue, that cascaded behind her and doubled as a train. Meanwhile, Chris looked equally stylish in a tan suit whose jacket featured a subtle tonal floral pattern, paired with a coordinating bow tie and a blue and yellow boutonniere.
Together, the couple’s looks were truly iconic!
Before their spring wedding ceremony began, Sarah and Chris took a quiet moment to honor two of the most important women in their lives: their mothers. Each gifted their mom a personalized letter, sharing sincere words of gratitude and love. The emotions that washed over their faces as they read the letters were precious. This was a simple yet meaningful way to begin the day and thank their mothers for the love and support they had shown throughout the years.
The final thing Sarah and Chris did before walking down the aisle was share a private first look together. We always love when couples choose to incorporate a first look into their wedding day because it creates a sweet, intimate moment to connect before the excitement of the celebration begins. Tucked away in the Gazebo before guests arrived, Sarah and Chris exchanged loving words, laughter, and kisses, as they soaked in the final moments before they would become husband and wife.
Blue and Yellow Spring Wedding Ceremony
The Gazebo Lawn at Celebration Gardens is the perfect place for a romantic spring wedding! The stately Gazebo creates a stunning backdrop, whether you choose to dress it up with elaborate florals or let its timeless elegance shine on its own.
For Sarah and Chris’ spring wedding ceremony, floral décor was included in their wedding package, allowing them to bring their blue and yellow wedding vision to life. Airy blue and white fabric draping framed the altar while two lush floral arrangements adorned each corner of the Gazebo. Made up of cheerful yellow blooms and fluffy, blue hydrangeas, these floral sprays echoed the gorgeous flowers in Sarah’s bridal bouquet. Smaller coordinating florals, accented with flowing blue ribbons, lined the aisle to complete the ceremony design.
Charming white parasols were also offered to guests at the ceremony as both shelter from the sun and a cute photo opportunity. Last but not least, our star jasmine hedge framed one side of the Gazebo Lawn, its sweet fragrance mingling with the lilting melodies of the live trio as guests settled in for the ceremony.
It was the perfect setting for Sarah and Chris to tie the knot!
Special First Dance in the Dahlia Room
After officially becoming husband and wife, Sarah and Chris spent some time capturing portraits in our botanical gardens. With blooming flowers, winding pathways, and picturesque scenery around every corner, our gardens offer countless opportunities for stunning photos, which was especially perfect for this spring wedding!
When it was time to kick off the evening’s festivities, everyone gathered inside our Dahlia Room for Sarah and Chris’ first dance. This indoor, climate-controlled space is included with your property rental and is conveniently situated right off of the main gardens. The newlyweds danced together here, complete with twirls and lifts, with cold sparklers behind them and the popular, “Dancing on a Cloud” special effect drifting beneath their feet. The combination created an ethereal atmosphere that made their first dance feel absolutely magical!
Then, Sarah and Chris shared another heartfelt moment by dancing with each of their mothers. This touching tribute was yet another way they honored the women who had shaped their lives, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as the four of them swayed together. It was a beautiful reminder that weddings aren’t just about celebrating a couple. They’re also about celebrating the love and support of the family that surrounds them!
Indoor/Outdoor Spring Wedding Reception
This spring wedding reception continued outdoors underneath our Grand Pavilion. Here, beautiful tables covered in soft blue linens and topped with butter yellow linen napkins awaited guests. The table centerpieces made up of floating candles and blue and yellow flowers added a touch of charm and sweetness to the aesthetic.
Upon making their grand entrance, Sarah and Chris made their way to their sweetheart table, where they took their seats on an elegant tufted loveseat fit for the two of them. It was here that they laughed and toasted together while their loved ones delivered heartfelt toasts, filled with stories, laughter, and well wishes. After the speeches, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner together. On the menu for the evening was:
- Caesar John Michael
- Maple Salmon
- Cheese Tortellini with sun-dried tomato and herb cream sauce
- Seasonal Roasted Vegetables
- Three Cheese Potatoes
- Assorted Rolls served with piped butter
- Chef Carved Beef Brisket served with caramelized onions, pomerey mustard, spicy barbecue, and sweet barbecue sauces
The carving station especially was a hit! Dinner was followed by Sarah and Chris’ cake cutting. Their wedding cake consisted of 3 tiers in their blue and yellow color scheme, enhanced by fresh flowers and a custom “Mr. & Mrs.” cake topper.
Wedding cake is always a crowd pleaser, but this sweet couple went above and beyond for their loved ones by providing an additional sweet treat option. They offered liquid nitrogen ice cream to complement their cake, making for a delicious and unique dessert experience!
A Surprise Reveal
Then came the moment everyone was buzzing about the rest of the night!
Sarah and Chris invited all 70 of their guests to gather at the Gazebo once more for a group photo. Family and friends crowded together, smiling and full of joy as they looked toward the camera. But little did they know, the newlyweds had one more surprise in store!
As everyone posed for the photo, Sarah and Chris quietly raised a microphone to their lips and shouted, “We’re having a baby!”
The reaction was priceless. Cheers erupted throughout the gardens as guests gasped, screamed, laughed, and immediately rushed to congratulate the newlyweds/parents-to-be.
Suddenly, this spring wedding became extra special, as everyone got to revel in this good news together, celebrating not just Sarah and Chris’ marriage, but the next exciting chapter of their growing family as well!
We just know that Sarah and Chris will cherish these photos and video to commemorate this special reveal forever!

Late Night Wedding Fun
This surprise announcement turned the energy up even more, just in time for the dance party to begin! Guests flooded the dance floor with their parasols and glowing LED fiber wands, ready to dance the night away.
Sarah and Chris even led everyone in a lively New Orleans–style Second Line around the property, weaving through the gardens, past the cold sparklers, and back onto the dance floor with their guests dancing and singing right behind them.
And the fun didn’t stop there! John Michael Events kept the party going with delicious late night snack offerings of Fresh Fried Carnival Fries, while s’mores kits were set out around the fire pit for guests to enjoy under the stars. With so many experiences to enjoy, from dancing to playing mini golf to gathering around the fire, there was truly something for everyone as the celebration continued well into the night.
Our Celebration Gardens team is so honored to have been part of this extra special spring wedding. Congratulations to Sarah and Chris on their marriage… and their growing family!
