We love a couple who isn’t afraid of bold color! This spring, that couple was the lovely Jordan and Devin, who tied the knot in a beautiful tropical wedding here at Celebration Gardens. This fun-loving duo’s personalities shined in their wedding design and experience, from the vivid color palette to the whimsical florals. Sparks literally flew that day, making this tropical wedding truly unforgettable!

Let’s take a look back on their big day, reminiscing on all the beautiful details and giving you a peek into how we pulled everything off!

Why Celebration Gardens is Perfect for a Tropical Wedding

Our full-service wedding venue, Celebration Gardens, is located in the heart of Orlando. We’re known for our lush gardens, including swaying palm trees and tropical foliage. No matter the time of year, our gardens are ripe with seasonal flora that makes for great photos, but even better ambiance! In spring and summer, our tropical plants are in full bloom and there’s color everywhere you turn, making this the perfect spot for Jordan and Devin’s tropical wedding.

In addition to the beauty of our oasis, we also make the wedding planning process as smooth as possible for our couples! We do that by offering all-inclusive wedding packages that allow you to book your entire wedding in one contract. Our seasoned Event Managers guide you through the process step-by-step, starting from your initial consultation all the way until wedding day.

Because when you’re planning a day as important as your wedding, you want your venue to have it all: Beauty, functionality, and exceptional guest service!

Tropical Wedding Ceremony

Our Gazebo Lawn is the perfect place for an outdoor wedding in Orlando! The Gazebo itself is beautiful on its own, but our couples love enhancing it to make it all their own. For their tropical wedding ceremony, Jordan and Devin chose to have two colorful floral arrangements set on gold pillars to frame the altar. These pink and orange floral designs were included in their all-inclusive Rose wedding package with us, along with their coordinating bouquets and boutonnieres for the day.

The bouquets went beautifully with the bridesmaids’ hot pink ombre dresses, which added another gorgeous pop of color to the ceremony site. Even the guests that day got the memo and donned colorful attire that definitely fit the joyous atmosphere!

Everything came together perfectly for Jordan and Devin to promise forever to one another that day. They walked down the aisle to live harp music by Christine MacPhail then exchanged personalized vows in an intimate ceremony officiated by Peggy Prikosovich. The sun shone down on them as they sealed the deal with a kiss, as if it was celebrating right alongside them!

Wedding Cocktail Hour in the Gardens

One thing our couples always say they love about Celebration Gardens is that the entire property is so seamless! Your event flows effortlessly from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception because all the sites are adjacent to one another. We intentionally designed our wedding venue this way to ensure the smoothest event possible. What’s more is that no matter where you go here, you’ll be surrounded by our verdant gardens. Vibrant flowers line every pathway that connects each event site, butterflies float around our pollinator plants, and a gorgeous bougainvillea trellis sits at the heart of the gardens, providing shade and a stunning photo opportunity.

After Jordan and Devin’s tropical wedding ceremony, their guests meandered from the Gazebo Lawn past the star jasmine hedge and under the greenery covered walkway to kick off cocktail hour. We have a built-in, white wooden bar to the side of the gardens, where the John Michael Events bartenders always greet guests with a smile and delicious beverages.

Meanwhile, their servers begin passing hors d’oeuvres and on this tropical wedding day, they served apps of spanakopita, mini BLTs, and quesadilla trumpets. To check out more of John Michael Events’ menus and offerings, hit the button below:

While guests started sipping and munching, Jordan and Devin captured newlywed photos within the gardens. Photo opps are abundant here, from the gardens themselves to the authentic English phone booth that’s a part of our venue’s storied history. Not only did this couple get to take some incredible wedding photos, but they also got to enjoy the gardens just the two of them, savoring these first moments as husband and wife.

Tropical Wedding Reception in the Grand Pavilion

Tropical Wedding Design Details

Jordan and Devin’s tropical wedding design details were to die for! They executed the motif in the most elegant of ways, incorporating tropical foliage amongst the green, orange, pink, and gold accents. At the center of each dining table under our Grand Pavilion, they had metallic gold table numbers, fluted green and amber votive candle holders, and clear bud vases filled with colorful and whimsical florals. These eye-catching tropical wedding floral designs added bold color to each of the tables and reflected the joy of the day!

But it was the newlyweds’ sweetheart table that took the cake! As part of their Rose package, they had a high back throne chair and chandelier over their sweetheart table. These already made their table the crown jewel of the reception, but adding tropical flowers to the tabletop and framing the throne chair with the repurposed ceremony pillars took the entire look to another level.

Jordan and Devin started their tropical wedding reception with their grand entrance and first dance. Their loved ones surrounded them as the sun and fresh breeze flowed through the pavilion, making this moment as dreamy as it gets! Then, Devin gave a welcome speech and led the group in a champagne toast before dinner began.

That evening, everyone enjoyed a buffet dinner together that consisted of:

  • Caesar John Michael
  • Tuscan Chicken
  • Cheese Tortellini
  • Three Cheese Potatoes
  • Seasonal Vegetables
  • Assorted Rolls

This couple already made great menu selections, but they also had amazing taste in adding a carving station! This was a Chef Carved Flank Steak station that included three day marinated flank steak in port wine with rosemary and garlic, grilled medium rare, and served with a variety of delectable sauces. Everyone loved seeing the Chef in action!

Wedding Reception Fun at Celebration Gardens

After dinner, it was time for the cake cutting, and bouquet and garter toss! Jordan and Devin’s wedding cake was part of their Rose package and fit the tropical theme perfectly. Scotchie’s Custom Cakes crafted the cake with palm fronds etched into the buttercream exterior then finished it with fresh orange flowers and greenery. The inside was just as delightful with flavors of vanilla and strawberry!

The dance party that night was epic! The DJ from Power Entertainment kept the energy high long after the sun went down and by the end of the reception, everyone was definitely sad to go! But Jordan and Devin kept the party going with their grand exit, where cold sparkler fountains went off to celebrate an incredible couple and wedding!

From start to finish, this day was fun, bright, and blissful. Both of our teams at Celebration Gardens and John Michael Events were honored to help pull off this tropical wedding day and wish Jordan and Devin many happy returns!

Congratulations to this beautiful couple!
